Cash in the form of a check, money order, bank draft, credit card payment, or electronic funds transfer - provides an immediate resource to meet University needs or to invest for future needs. To make a gift via electronic funds transfer (EFT) use our EFT authorization form. There may be significant tax advantages when you transfer stocks, bonds or mutual funds directly to the CWU Foundation. For assistance with a gift of securities, please contact the Office of Gift & Estate Planning or visit our Securities page. The CWU Foundation may accept art, jewelry, collections, equipment, or free and clear real property when it has an immediate use by the University or when the property can be easily converted to cash. The advantages to the donor may include a tax deduction or avoidance on capital gains. Contact your human resource office to see if your employer will match your individual gift of cash or securities or visit the matching gift database to find your employer. CWU Employees are encouraged to use this simple means of supporting departments and scholarships. CWU Employees who elect to have their gift deducted from each paycheck must submit a payroll deduction enrollment form. It is also possible to designate your payroll deduction donation to the CWU Foundation through the United Way or the Washington State Employee Combined Fund Drive. Please check with your human resource office regarding these options. A gift of any amount is accepted to honor or memorialize alumni, faculty or friends. Letters of acknowledgment will be sent to the honored person or to the family of the deceased. Many memorial funds are established as permanent endowments that benefit programs and students for years to come.
